Josh Smiertka is a motion designer currently working out of Chicago, IL.
In 2014, he entered the industry as an intern at Digital Kitchen in Seattle and then proceeded to work at Sarofsky, based out of Chicago, for six years as a full-time designer/animator. Throughout these years he has had the privilege of working on several projects for film and television such as Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, The Suicide Squad, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, Wolf Entertainment and Lionsgate as well as countless commercial projects for brands such as Apple, Jeep, Spotify, Verizon, HTC and many more.
While taking pride first of all in his design work, he is accomplished as well in both 2D and 3D design and animation.
In fall of 2021, he has since transitioned to freelance and is currently available for remote work.
